Oh Arturio, Prince of the Liturgy Committee
During the prayers of intercession at mass a few weeks back, the very first prayer was a request that all the people of the parish would wake up to the need to protect our "fragile" Earth. The second prayer was a beseeching of God to help the victims of the recent devastating tornado in Oklahoma. I doubt whoever's responsible for writing the prayers of intercession got the irony.
